Sacral heritage of Lithuania

From December 14, 2012 to February 18, 2013 Niasvizh Palace and Park Ensemble will hold the exhibition “HOPE, FAITH, RESURECTION” from the Rokiskis regional museum (Lithuania).
All visitors will have unique opportunity to see the most impressive forms of the Lituanian national traditional art: the folk sacral sculpture (XVI - XIX centuries), the iron crosses and the tops of monuments of the small architecture. The tradition of manufacturing of the crosses has preserved through centuries and has been transmitted between generations. In 2001 UNESCO included this tradition into the list of the masterpieces of intangible cultural heritage.
