Museums for visitors with disabilities. The international seminar

Museums for visitors with disabilities. The international seminar

All people are different. Now, unfortunately, hardly all of them have equal opportunities to visit museums. It is about people with disabilities (impaired vision, hearing, musculoskeletal system, etc.). How can we make tourism accessible to everyone? This issue will be in the focus of the international seminar The practices of organizing inclusive tourism, which will be held in the Museum-Reserve Niasvizh on June 3, 2021. The seminar will consist of two parts: an online conference and a tour.

The Seminar participants will include employees of domestic and foreign organizations (Mivia program (Belarus), Kedainiai (Lithuania), and Luznava (Latvia) museums), who have experience in involving people with disabilities in tourism and will share their best practices. During the second part of the Seminar, the tour History of the construction of Nesvizh Palace, developed by the staff of the Museum-Reserve, will be held for visitors with visual impairments.

The seminar will be held as part of the cross-border project The Dukes Radziwills' heritage preservation and adaptation for tourism in Kedainiai and Niasvizh European Neighbourhood Instrument Cross-border Cooperation Latvia-Lithuania-Belarus Programme
