Yury Baranau

Born on April 7, 1949 in Viciebsk. He started to do graphics at school when he attended an artistic course in the Palace of Pioneers where V. Tsikhanenka, V. Lukyanau and G. Shutau taught.

Since 1970, he has participated in a number of art exhibitions. He also illustrated books for Belarusian and Moscow publishing houses, such as “Young Guard’, “Soviet Russia”, “Sovremennik” and more. Member of the Belarusian Union of Artists since 1988.

His works, including watercolors, engravings, bookplates, enamels, are preserved in museums and private collections in Argentina, Belarus, Belgium, England, Germany, Israel, Spain, Italy, Indonesia, Portugal, Poland, France, and Japan.
